MUSIC MINISTRIES
Northside worship is contemporary in nature. We obey the scripture found in Psalm 149..."Sing to the Lord a new song, praise Him in the assembly of saints."
Over 40 adults participate on our Sunday morning worship teams which have colourful names like Blindsided, Oasis, Reason, Riversong. All our worship team singers and muscians volunteer and sacrifice their time to contribute to this ministry.
Other Northside services such as Alpha on Tuesday evenings and Higher Ground on Saturday night reflect a similar approach regarding the use of contemporary worship songs. Many new songs make their way into our services by virtue of the passion that our youth and young adults have for worship, perhaps demonstrated best on Friday nights at our youth service.
Not only do we enjoy singing new songs, we are learning to expand our worship experience through the creation of our own unique worship through the writing and recording of songs. This has culminated in the release of a worship CD in 2004 and another one last year.
The Music Minitry at Northside is co-ordinated through the efforts of our Worship Director, Pastor Greg Reid.

Sunday Night "Stop the Rain" Project |

STOP THE RAIN is a missions support group that has been assembled by the music ministry department in our church. Our purpose is to help Northside Missions raise funds by hosting a series of mini-concert nights and through the sale of our CD’s.
The evening featured artists and bands performing their original music, donating their time and talents for the cause.

Northside and Friends CD |

We have introduced a new Contemporary Christian CD with songs written exclusively by Foursquare writers from across Canada. Musicians, singers, artists and friends of Northside Church in Coquitlam BC assembled their talents and gave freely of their gifts to produce this collection of songs.
All the revenue generated from this CD will go to Foursquare Canada missions. Rather than sell the CD's outright, we are asking that anyone who wants a copy donate to Foursquare Missions. Givers will receive a tax receipt and a brand new CD for each gift of $20 or more. Available at both campuses.
