STOP THE RAIN is a missions support group that has been assembled by the music ministry department in our church. Our purpose is to help Northside Missions raise funds by hosting a series of mini-concert nights and through the sale of our CD’s. On the evening of September 30 at Coquitlam Campus we hosted the wonderfully successful Jazz Nite with Alpha India to raise funds for their upcoming trip in November.
When the team returned we held another mini-concert…BAND-AID on the evening of November 25th. The money we raised will be used to fund needy families in India that our Alpha Missions team encountered during their trip.
The evening featured artists and bands performing their original music, donating their time and talents for the cause.
Our Coquitlam sanctuary was converted into a Rock Club and our lobby was a finger food, dessert and beverage bar. All $3800 in proceeds from this concert are being used to support struggling families in India. This is the monsoon season and we can help stop the rain from ruining the lives of people in less fortunate conditions than our own.
THE LATEST STOP THE RAIN CONCERT was held on Sunday, April 13th. All $6400 in proceeds from this concert are going to help underprivileged Costa Rica Kids go to school and provide support for the Higher Ground food bank.
