Nooma Video Series with Rob Bell

"We can get anything we want, from anywhere in the world, whenever we want it. That's how it is and that's how we want it to be. Still, our lives arn't any different than other generations before us. Our time is.

We want spiritual direction, but it has to be real for us and available when we need it. We want a new format for getting Christian perspectives. NOOMA is the new format. It's short films with communicators that really speak to us. Compact, portable, and concise. Each NOOMA touches on issues that we care about, that we want to talk about, and it comes in a way that fits our world. It's a fomat that's there for us when we need it, how we need it." - Rob Bell

Come and join us for coffee each week as we explore this series together.

Please note:  There will be NO MEETING on AUGUST 1st

                          the long weekend

  Upcoming Events

Rock the River Tour West
Discipleship Follow-up Sessions

The RED DOOR will be launching a discipleship series that
will walk new believers through the first steps of their new walk with
Jesus.  This series will help them to understand the fundamentals of
their new found faith and help to answer any questions that they may
have.  If you know someone who has recently made a commitment to
follow Christ, then this is the perfect place to bring them.  You
notice we said, bring them.  It is easier for them to walk through
this journey with someone that has been walking for awhile a knows
some of the obstacles they will be faced with, so bring them along and
we will help you with the process.

Although these sessions are initially in response to the recent Rock
the River Tour West held on August 7th, they are for anyone who has
made a recent committment and wants to learn how to live a strong,
healthy Christian life.  The sessions are also great for those who are
still in the seeking stage as well, so feel free to join us now matter
what stage you are at.

If your a new believer and need a bible, let us know and we'll make
sure you get connected with one.

See you at the RED DOOR - Poco Campus from 6:00pm to 7:45pm

Each one of our presenters are people just like you.  They hold jobs in our local communities and they face the same challenges that you do.  They have families and friends just like you, and are looking to get through the obstacles that seem to be waiting around so many corners of life.

Their hearts desire is to walk through this journey together with you in a real, relative way – sharing experiences with you that you can relate to while at the same time, sharing how much God loves you and is just as interested in your journey as you are.

Here are a couple of the people you can expect to hear from:

Mike Stoltz – Primary Presenter

Mike has worked at a local lumber mill in Maple Ridge for the last 22 years and has been in that industry since he was 16.  He has been married to Peggy for 20 years in a blended family and they have three adult children between them.  No grandchildren as of yet.

Mike also attended Bible College through the Distance Education Program from Life Bible College in Surrey, BC while continuing to work full time at the mill and raising a small family.

Mike’s ability to find balance between life challenges and his spiritual growth are insightful and inspirational.  He is known for being able to open up the word for others to discover the hidden truths and then help them to discover how to apply those truths to their lives. Open, honest and relative presentations are what you can expect from Mike.

Peggy Stoltz – Primary Facilitator

Peggy has worked in the field of administration for 32 years.  Currently she works for the City of Coquitlam.  She is the wife of our Primary Presenter – Mike Stoltz.

Peggy has also been a presenter in the workplace as part of a teaching team that travelled throughout BC to rollout a new software program for the RCMP.

Peggy heads up a Ladies Group entitled – Hearts 4 Him – Ladies Morning Out and Ladies Evening Out.

Just like you though, Peggy engages in the sessions as a participant, learning right along side you.  She is that friendly face you will look forward to seeing each week and getting a hug from.  She is the consummate mom to receive you home.

Barry Crowe – Regular Presenter

Barry is a husband and father of 4 (all still at home). He has worked for the public service for over 20 years and is currently a supervisor in a prison in Port Coquitlam.

He has been a Christian all his life but only began attending church on a regular basis in his late twenties. He began attending Northside Church in 2004 and became active with The ALPHA program.

Barry has never been to Bible College however, became a student of the Word - educating himself through a number of resources on the net and Christian books. He began leading a daytime Bible study at Northside in 2007 and now also assists some of our Pastors with BETA (also a discipleship course).

Barry joined Mike at the Red Door in 2009 to as a presenter and continues to grow in his gifts as a speaker. He has a genuine concern for everyone in his community.

Jasmine Small - Regular Presenter

Jasmine is the youngest member of our team.  She graduated from Life Bible College in 2008 and is currently leading an Internship Program for the Summer in Toronto.

Jasmine brings a refreshing perspective to her presentations, and keeps things moving in interesting ways. She keeps us looking outside of the box for new ways to present the timeless truths found in God's word. When Jasmine is presenting - you can always be sure the presentation will be relative to the upcoming generation because she is right there with you.
